Uses

It can be used as a catalyst solvent in the production of polyethylene, a blowing agent for expandable polystyrene, a blowing agent for polyurethane foam systems, a deasphalting solvent, etc. When used as a solvent, it has the same effect as pentane, hexane, heptane, etc., and its dissolving ability is slightly worse than that of pentane.
